Trace Your Garment
A UX concept exploring how product-level traceability can make sustainability transparent, human, and verifiable.
Pact has built its brand around ethical production and organic materials, with clear commitments to GOTS-certified organic cotton, Fair Trade Certified™ factories, and responsible sourcing. While these efforts are well documented, most of this information lives outside the product experience, on sustainability pages, certifications, or brand communications. Once a garment is purchased, customers have limited visibility into the specific origins and impact of the item they’re wearing. As expectations around transparency continue to rise, there’s an opportunity to bring Pact’s sustainability story closer to the product itself.

Sustainability becomes more meaningful when it’s tied to something tangible. When impact information is connected directly to an individual garment, rather than living elsewhere, customers can better understand, trust, and engage with a brand’s values. Proximity turns sustainability from an abstract idea into a personal experience.
Concept

Across the apparel industry, brands are increasingly moving toward product-level traceability as a way to make sustainability more transparent and verifiable. When customers can access clear information about an individual garment’s origin and production, sustainability shifts from a general claim to something concrete and trustworthy.
Trace Your Garment builds on Pact’s existing sustainability foundation by connecting verified practices directly to each product. By bringing impact information closer to the garment itself, the experience translates Pact’s commitments into a clear, product-level story — strengthening trust, clarity, and long-term brand credibility.
